About meHello! I am a wife and mother to 4 children. I was raised in a small rodeo town in Northern California and currently reside in Wickenburg AZ. I enjoy the outdoors, scrapbooking, traveling, gardening, healthy eating, helping moms get established with homeschooling, the miracle of child birth and more.
When I found out we were expecting a little one 10 years ago, I immediately began researching what type of birth I wanted. Through the words of a friend, I learned about the idea of having a birth doula present during my labor. With a little research, my husband and I found the perfect doula for us. My labor, though it had a few challenges, could not have gone any smoother. Following the birth of our son, my husband and I both agreed that having a doula present was what carried us both through. I knew shortly after that, becoming a doula was something that I would soon pursue. I wanted to empower and help women as I had been through with our doula. I have since been so blessed to attend many births from hospitals to home births to birth centers. I have had the experience of being part of a variety of births and have had the privilege of loving on families through miscarriages, still births, serogate births, adoptions, c-sections, and more. Along with these often difficult births, it has been a blessing to come alongside women for births that are often redemptive from a traumatic previous experience and share with them in one of the most amazing and transforming days of their lives. As a birth doula, It is important to me to not only come along side moms but also along side supporting family. I love to teach and support fathers and other significant family members how to play a key role in comfort for the mother as they welcome their baby. I was previously a massage therapist and esthetician so extra comfort measures are important to me. I am Rebozo certified along with TENS unit certified and I carry lots of tools in my doula bag to assist you in any way needed. A couple years after the birth of our son, the long time dream of adoption finally happened for us. We brought home a newborn baby from The hospital and six weeks later welcomed a 3 year old little boy into our home . We were then blessed with a little girl a year later. We feel so blessed to have these little ones and give them all of the love they need. As a birth doula, I completely value each client that comes my way. Being a doula is about so much more than a job to me. It is a passion and something that fills my cup every time I witness the miracle of life! I am focused primarily on serving women in the Maricopa and Yavapai Counties of Arizona. |
